Robert & Martine Frost
Robert & Martine Frost
After a little internet sleuthing, I found Robert and Martine Frost living in Monte Carlo. They were delighted to be in contact and kindly sent me some photos of their time at PW, very fond memories, which make up part of my now very large collection of photographs.
This 2009 family photo sees left to right: Robert, Hannah (son Bruce’s girlfriend), Martine and Robert & Martin’s 2 sons Bruce and Charles. Robert writes:
“Paddock Wood represents a really important part of my life as I met my wife, Martine there, in 1974. I think she was back home in Monaco when you were there in ’75/’76 as she was finishing her university studies in Nice.
We got married in July 1976 and then both returned to teach at Paddock Wood until it closed in 1982. That was the year our first son was born. We then started our own school and had another boy in 1991.
It is good to know that the place meant enough to you so that you felt compelled to start an old students association. We are still in contact with some past students and staff.
As you know I have always composed music and now have time to develop my interest.”
Here is a sample of Robert’s beautiful music, Wedding Day, from the album Forgotten Soul:

Good morning Pippa
We wanted to say how impressed we are with the PW website and particularly our page which was a lovely surprise. You have been doing a tremendous job.
We have been contacted by many past students and have even met up with one of them. Alcesti Impalomeni was one of Robert's tennis pupils in the late 60s early 70s. She was on holiday with her son and a friend in Villefranche a few weeks ago so was able to pop over to see us in Monaco. A lot of reminiscing over a few drinks. PW days were special times which produced very special friendships. Next reunion in the South of France?...........
Take care
Martine
